Itinerary

Let us take a journey to the places of the gods. A journey on the seas, on the beaches and in the beautiful hills of Greece – of course not to fight side by side with the ancient heroes but to breathe the irresistible scent of eternity. A journey that will always be unforgettable. It is a unique offer.

And who could better awake this irresistible scent of eternity but Dr. Peter Peter, a connoisseur of Greek history and its historical sites, never teaching or lecturing, but always managing to captivate his audience he makes Greek history vivid and visible to your inner eye. For all other "mortal" needs and wishes of your holiday on each trip you will find a member of our team at your disposal, to which you can turn with any questions and requests at any time.

In the beginning we will meet you in Athens at Venezelos International Airport and escort you to the first stop of your journey: the Electra Palace Hotel, a 5 * hotel in the heart of the historic old town, the Plaka. Located at the foot of the Acropolis, with a roof terrace where you can take a first sundowner for a (yet) distant view of this incomparable setting. Taverns and bars are waiting for you around the hotel, to let the first Greek impressions come to a relaxing end.

The next day, after a hearty breakfast, Dr. Peter Peter carries you away to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Immerse yourselves in the world of the Greeks, into an Athens, as it may have looked 2,500 years ago and why someone had to go home to this city, to his hometown, at any cost ...

Joining the visiting program is of course - as during the whole journey - voluntary. And if you prefer to spend a day on incomparable coastlines and beaches, you will be just as cordially invited to it as to any exploring activities. HEDONE, the ancient Greek word for joy is, after all, the only mandatory on this journey.

After another night at the Hotel Electra Palace, we clear the port and – finally - set sails. In the afternoon we depart from Piraeus and as you move into your cabins and make the first inquiries on board, we cross the Isthmus, the Corinth Canal that separates or connects the mainland from the Peloponnese, depending on whether you are traveling on land or on sea. After a night on board under the freedom of the starry sky, in the morning we will enter the port of Galaxidi, the extinct offshoot of the galaxy.

After a fortifying breakfast on board, we visit the nine Muses in their home on the Parnass. At the foot of the mountains lie the Sanctuary of Delphi, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum, one of the most important museums in Greece. After visiting the temple and the museum, refreshments from the source of the Kastalian spring are available. The crystal-clear spring has been bubbling here since the beginning of time; The story of why the nymph Kastalia plunged into the water at this point will be given to you by Peter Peter on the spot. We descend to the sanctuary of Delphi - even though Pythia is no longer sitting and prophesying, you will once more descry this irresistible scent of eternity...

When we come back to our ship in the late afternoon, allow us to suggest a very special culinary delight. In the restaurant Skeletovrachos we experience a special journey through the sea. Everything the sea has to offer is offered here and prepared to a very high standard and in an exciting way.

Back on the ship, this pierges in the direction of Pyrgos in See. After a night's drive, we spend the whole day under the sails of Running on the Waves and enjoy a fantastic sailing experience all day long. Of course, on board - as during the entire journey – we take care of your personal well-being. At 21:00 we will arrive in Pyrgos and drive to the  Hotel Olympia Golden Beach & Spa Ressort.

Nomen est omen - the next day the temples and "sports facilities" of ancient Olympia are awaiting us.

Spend another night at the Olympia Golden Beach Resort & Spa and set sails the next day from Pyrgos to Pylos.

We spend the night and the next day on board we sail around the first finger of the Peloponnese with land excursions to visit the fortresses Methoni / Koroni till we arrive at Kalamata. There we go ashore to visit the currently largest archaeological excavation area of Greece, the ancient Messenia. The excavation work started only a few years ago and has not been opened to the public for long.

Afterwards we set sails, heading for the "pirate bay", where we arrive in the morning. Limeni, with its incomparable fish restaurants, was the headquarters of the world's first CEO. Petro Mavromichalis, a dreaded and mighty pirate chief of the 18th century, used to sign documents with Chief Executive Officer - everything related to the Mavromichalis family, as always, you will hear from Dr. Peter Peter.

Leaving Limeni - passing Cape Tenero, the second southernmost mainland point in Europe – we approach Gythio, where we spend the night at the ship. Our recommendation for a fabulous dinner: the restaurant "Saga".

We continue sailing to Elafonissos, the Caribbean of Greece, spending the whole day there. We spend the night at the ship again and set sails for Monemvasia in the morning.

The travel time is 5 hours and we reach this beautiful city in the afternoon.

We are sailing during the night to arrive at Nafplio at sunrise. At 10:00 we drive to Mycenae. Agamemnon, Elektra, Iphigenia, Orest and the Erinyes, the Tantalids, the Trojan War ... Peter Peter will be in his element. After all the tragedies and dramas and a lunch, we continue to Epidaurus. Then we have to say goodbye and bring you back to the starting point of your journey, to Athens in the Hotel Elektra Palace, where you see the city castle = Acropolis now with the eyes of an insider of the ancient Greek times.

A good journey begins at a certain place and always ends at the same.

We are available for all questions during the trip, recommend trips, restaurants, etc. Please note that changes in the itinerary are possible, especially as we travel on a sailing ship.
